Brisbane radio ratings: ARN’s 97.3FM jumps to the front

Australian Radio Network’s 97.3FM has increased its share in the Brisbane radio market to 11.7% to win the Monday to Sunday battle, according to the latest figures from Nielson.

In a tight survey, 97.3FM edged in front of DMG’s Nova106.9, which dropped from 11.8% to 11.4%, Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M, which dropped from 11.7% to 11.1% and Southern Cross Austereo’s Today Network station, B105, which dropped from 11.7% to 11.3%.

Across drive, Nova106.9’s combination of Meshel, Tim & Marty’s 4-6pm slot combined with Fitzy and Wippa’s hour from 6-7pm remains the strongest performers, with a 15.4% share, down from 15.9%. B105’s Fifi & Jules had a big drop from 14.5% to 11.7% to allow 97.3FM second spot with 12.3%, despite a drop from 12.5%.

In breakfast, Triple M’s new team of Marto, Pete and Michelle saw a downturn as the ratings dropped from 12.1% to 11.2%. It allowed 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry & Bob to tie with 11.2%, courtesy of a jump from 10.5%.

Brisbane breakfast also saw a tie for second place as DMG’s Nova team Ash, Camilla & Luttsy and Southern Cross Austereo’s B105’s Labby, Stav & Abby both registered 10.1%.
