Brisbane radio ratings: Nova top again while 97.3FM has greatest jump

Nova 106.9 has once again topped Brisbane’s radio ratings with 11.5% of people 10+, according to the GfK radio ratings Survey 7, which covers 15 August to 18 September and 26 September to 30 October, although the station had a minor 0.2 percentage point drop from the last survey.

Coming in second was ARN’s 4KQ, with 11.3% of people 10+ and a 0.4 point increase for the station.

For the breakfast timeslot, Nova’s Ash, Kip and Lutsy with Susie O’Neil stayed at the same percentage as the previous survey, at 13.1%, which was an increase of 1.8 points from Survey 5. 4KQ’s Laurel, Gary & Mark also stayed the same, at 12%, which was also an increase of 0.9 points from Survey 5 as well.

Nine’s 4BC’s Breakfast with Neil Breen, which switched frequencies from 1116 to 882, had one of the larger increases for this survey, with a 1.2 point increase to 9.3%. It was also the largest change in the breakfast timeslot.

While Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M’s Marto and Margaux went up 0.8 points to 10.3, after its two percentage points from 9.9% to 7.9% from the last survey.  The show lost Nick Cody to FoxFM earlier this year, although initially, that did not appear to affect ratings.

For drive, Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel topped with the timeslot with 15.1%, although it did have a slight drop of 0.1%.

97.3FM’s Will & Woody experienced the greatest change in an increase of 2.2 points, to 10.5%, which was also second for the drive timeslot.

ABC Brisbane had a significant drop in the drive timeslot of 2.1 points to 6.3%.
