Brisbane radio ratings: Nova close to retaking number one slot

Nova came close to retaking the title of number one radio station in Brisbane in the latest set of ratings from Nielsen.

Based on weekday share, DMG’s Nova moved back to number one with a rise in share from 12.1% to 12.3%. Former leader Austereo’s B105 fell from 12.2% to 11.9%  .

However in seven day share, B105 kept its nose ahead, despite a fall from 12.1% to 11.8%. Nova rose from 11.6% to 11.7%.

The ratings are the first of the year for Brisbane after the first planned survey period was cancelled because of the difficulties of getting diaries into flood-affected areas.

Despite the narrow battle at the top, both Nova and B105 saw drops for the breakfast shows. B105’s Labby Camilla & Stav dropped from 11.7% to 11.3%. However, because Nova’s Meshel, Tim & Marty fell by more – from 11.9% to 11%, the B105 breakfast show moved into first place.
