Melbourne radio ratings: Fox FM on a winner
Austereo’s Fox FM breakfast show was the standout FM performer in the Melbourne radio ratings.
The Matt & Jo Show raised its share from 10.9% to 12.5%.
The other piece of good news for Fox FM – which saw its weekday share rise slightly from 12.6% to 12.8% – came in drivetime, with the new Fifi & Jules drivetime offering up from 15.1% to 17.1%.
Meanwhile DMG’s Nova fell slightly to a 6.6% weekday share. And sister station Classic Rock dropped from 3% to 2.8%.
Talk station 3AW has a good survey – up from 15.2% to 17.3%.
I’m glad. Isn’t she one of the only women on breakfast radio just now? Not that I even like the show, but it’s supposed to be pretty hard to be a woman on radio, and they keep on getting rarer and rarer, particularly in prime spots.
Nothing changes on radio. who can stand Jo Stanley’s shrieky voice!! Nova needs to get their act together-they have been lagging for a few years now after a promising start. Looks like Drive is Fox Fm’s -no matter who is hosting!Booring!! NOT WINNING!!!
No mention of triple m, what a debarcle that station has become.
Gains at 3AW on weekend afternoons are very solid. Congrats Tom Elliot.
Nova only had a good start in Melbourne because they inherited KISS FM’s work. Otherwise, they’ve just continued to go backwards.
They had some good people for awhile, and things really looked like changing, but then LM bought it out, the good people left, and it’s back to languishing.
