Bryce Coombe appointed as managing director of Clemenger BBDO Adelaide

Clemenger BBDO Adelaide has announced the appointment of Bryce Coombe as managing director.

The announcement:

Bryce Coombe has been appointed the new managing director of Clemenger BBDO Adelaide after seven years at the company.

Coombe, 33, joined the agency seven years ago and has been Head of Account Management for the last two years.

Kim Boehm, Managing Director for the last eight years, moves to the role of Executive Chairman.

“We’ve been planning this for the last few years and we think now is the right time to move Bryce up and into this role,” said Boehm.

“Bryce has an incredible work ethic and a great passion for our business and importantly, he also has a strong vision for the future of our business,” added Boehm.

Coombe, who becomes just the fourth Managing Director of the agency in its 48 year history said that he was looking forward to building on the strong creative reputation of the agency while continuing to evolve the agency’s capabilities in digital.

“Doing the best creative work possible will always be at the heart of our business,” said Coombe, “but the way we help our clients deliver that work to their markets has changed and is continuing to change.”

“We have a very strong digital and social media offer and we are going to continue to invest in this area. This doesn’t change our belief in the power of creativity but we believe it does change the nature of our offer,” said Coombe.

“Kim is an important part of the Adelaide agency, an important part of the Adelaide business community and will continue to be so as he helps us continue our transition into Adelaide’s most forward-looking agency,” Coombe added.

Clemenger BBDO Adelaide is part of Australia’s largest and most successful advertising agency network.

Locally, the agency’s clients include San Remo, Motor Accident Commission, Transitions Optical, University of South Australia, BankSA, Great Southern Rail and Palmers Cocoa Butter skin care products.

The agency won international acclaim last year for its Delite-o-matic YouTube video which showed people doing all sorts of weird and wonderful things to get a free packet of Fantastic Delites.
