BWM Dentsu appointed to Citipower and Powercor account

BWM Dentsu Group has been appointed to consolidate all marketing and communication activity for major Victorian electricity distribution networks, Citipower and Powercor.

Citipower and Powercor are responsible for distributing electricity to 1.1 million residential and commercial customers across 60% of Victoria. The account will involve all internal and external marketing communications and media planning.

“The growth of solar photovoltaic as well as the anticipated increase in batteries and electric vehicles are just some of the many choices our customers now have about how they use electricity,” said Joanne Pafumi, general manager corporate affairs for Citipower and Powercor Australia.

“They need to know that the network that distributes their electricity is able to accommodate these choices and does it safely, reliably and affordably.  We’re excited to work alongside BWM Dentsu Group to engage more directly with our customers.”

According to a statement provided to Mumbrella, the partnership with BWM Dentsu will allow Citipower and Powercor to access the full spectrum of Dentsu Aegis Network’s offering, including business performance, data driven marketing, corporate communications, public relations and media production.

“Energy prices and reliable supply are hot topics amongst consumers, so we are very supportive of Citipower and Powercor’s exciting new marketing direction,” said Belinda Murray, managing director of BWM Dentsu Melbourne.

“We believe there is an opportunity to provide energy customers with a holistic and immersive brand experience.”
