Caitlin Ammann becomes planning director at indie agency Edge

Independent creative and content agency Edge has named Caitlin Ammann as planning director.

Ammann joins from BWM Dentsu, where she was senior strategic planner since 2016 and worked on accounts such as Qantas, American Express, NBN, Bank of Queensland and Charles Sturt University.

Before joining BWM Dentsu, Ammann spent almost eight years at Starcom. She was an experience strategist at the Publicis agency’s Chicago office for four and a half years, working on brands like Microsoft, Kellogg’s and Bank of America before moving to Sydney.  In the Sydney office, she led strategy across Brown-Forman liquor, Metcash, Samsung, Optus and Mars Wrigley.

“We’re stoked to have Caitlin join the team. She’s curious and analytical, a big picture thinker who still obsesses over the detail, loves the work, and brings together brand, comms and channel planning in one awesome package,” said Edge’s partner and executive planning director, Richard Parker, to whom Ammann will report.

In her new role, she will work across clients including Dymocks, Mitre 10, Vero, and Auto One, and contribute to its consultancy business.

“The energy and enthusiasm at Edge along with its unique space in the market makes it the perfect match for me,” Ammann said.

“After stints at both media and creative agencies, I’m thrilled to be bringing the two worlds together for a diverse range of clients and projects.”
