Parramatta Eels appoints Murmur to digital marketing account

Independent agency Murmur has added the National Rugby League’s (NRL) Parramatta Eels to its client roster, which includes other sporting franchises including Sydney FC, Western Sydney Wanderers, and Melbourne City FC.

The agency will handle digital marketing and sales for the Eels’ membership drive, corporate hospitality program and ticketing sales for home games.

“We’re excited and thrilled to be working with the Parramatta Eels in helping shape their digital strategy moving forward,” said Murmur’s founder and general manager, Dave Levett.

“The vision that the entire team has for the seasons ahead is really exciting and we’re privileged to be given the opportunity to help play our part in that.”

In November, Levett founded Raft, a specialist agency to help brands navigate Amazon.

The Eels’ head of communications and brand, Joshua Drayton, said that the team is “excited to work with Murmur to continue building on our digital strategy”.

“One of the club’s key strategic priorities is driving our digital strategy around automation, attracting new audiences, entertainment, capitalising on our owned data, and the creation of an integrated suite of digital products for our current and potential partners to leverage,” he said.

Beyond sports teams, Murmur’s broader portfolio includes accounts like Toyo Tires, Designer Rugs, and the Inland Sea of Sound.
