Calvin Klein appoints EVH PR

Calvin Klein has appointed PR and communications agency EVH PR.

The announcement:

Calvin Klein, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], today announced plans to consolidate public relations activities for the men’s and women’s Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein platinum label, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear brands in Australia.

In order to streamline and strengthen the public relations efforts supporting the Calvin Klein businesses in the Australian market, Calvin Klein, Inc. has appointed PR and communications agency, EVH PR.

Along with the consolidation, EVH is pleased to welcome Danielle Cusack Scott to the agency.

Ms. Cusack Scott will serve as the Account Director for the Calvin Klein brands, working alongside EVH’s Founder and Managing Director Emma van Haandel, Account Director Matt Vines and Account Manager Natalia Sakowicz.

Upon the announcement, Malcolm Carfrae, EVP & Chief Communications Officer, Calvin Klein, Inc., said, “Consolidating our public relations initiatives in Australia with EVH was an important, strategic step to further expand and fortify the presence of our brands within the region. With its local expertise and experience, the trusted and respected EVH agency is an ideal partner for us in this venture. We are also thrilled to keep the continuity of the team with Danielle joining EVH, as she has worked on the Calvin Klein brands as a PR consultant for over 15 years.”

Ms. van Haandel said, “At EVH we have the utmost respect for Calvin Klein, Inc. and are very much looking forward to working on the iconic brand’s global communications within Australia.”

Calvin Klein’s brand architecture is comprised of three distinct brand tiers that are designed to provide a framework to guide a focused, consistent approach to future global brand growth and development. With this structure, each of the Calvin Klein brands occupies a distinct marketing identity and position, which is differentiated through brand-specific advertising, channels of distribution, and product design.

Calvin Klein Collection remains the most prestigious and refined brand in the portfolio. Serving as the “halo” brand, it sets the tone of elegance and luxurious simplicity for the company’s other designer brands. Shown on the runways of New York and Milan, Calvin Klein Collection is designed by two award-winning creative directors, Francisco Costa for women’s and Italo Zucchelli for men’s.

Calvin Klein platinum label is the men’s and women’s “bridge” sportswear and accessories tier, positioned as modern, directional and sexy with an urban edge. The newly positioned line, with distribution focused upon Europe and Asia, will place a greater emphasis on consistent product quality and enhanced value. Key to the line will be modern silhouettes in innovative fabrics and forward-thinking, distinctive color palettes.

Calvin Klein white label represents the base of the company’s brand pyramid, which is anchored by the “better” tier of sportswear and accessories (available predominantly in North America), as well as the iconic, globally recognized Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear brands, as well as product for the home. All products available at this tier are designed to be timeless, modern classics that are effortless, fashionable, and accessible.
