Cancer Council: What will you do today to help beat cancer?

'Everyday there is hope'

Cancer Council has launched a new campaign that asks Australians what they will do to beat cancer.

Paul Fishlock’s ad agency Behaviour Change Partners, which launched in May, created the campaign, which features a series of testimonies from people who volunteer to fight cancer.

The campaign, including the testimonials, will run on Seven, Prime, Ten and Southern Cross Ten.

Online ads will run across Catch Up TV, Ten, YouTube, Yahoo!7 and Facebook, using pre-roll from the TV ad. Cinema ads will run across Val Morgan and Star Media Platinum.

Sarah McCarthy, manager of brand, marketing and communications for Cancer Council NSW said: “This campaign will be invaluable to us. We can’t beat cancer alone. We are making great progress in the fight against cancer but there is still a lot of important work to do in the community, and the messaging really sums up this united effort.

“What we loved so much about this concept is that we know everyone can do something every day to help beat cancer. One day it might be a big thing like joining a research study or making a bequest in your will and other days it could be something as small as wearing a hat or supporting a fundraiser.”

“Highlighting the help and services that Cancer Council NSW offers will help us one day achieve our mission of seeing cancer defeated,” she said.
