CarAdvice and Facebook team up in new auto marketplace

Publisher CarAdvice and Facebook have joined forces to launch a new platform, CarAdvice Next, for automotive marketers.

Billed as “a content led, data-driven approach, to help OEMs build brand consideration and generate leads on the world’s largest social network,” the venture promises to connect Australia’s 15 million Facebook users with CarAdvice’s automotive reviews and prospective car buyers.

Initial trials on the service have underway since July with two automotive brands involved in the beta program, the companies said.

“CarAdvice’s premium content and in-market data offering is a natural fit for our platforms and will no doubt give early adopters a competitive advantage,” said Facebook’s head of automotive for ANZ, Ted Bergeron.

Andrew Beecher, CarAdvice’s managing director and CEO added: “Clearly the place where consumers are engaging with content more than anywhere else is on Facebook and Instagram, so this collaboration with Facebook is the next logical step for us in bringing our content to more consumers and using our combined skills to help OEMs deliver the right message, to the right person, at right time, wherever those intenders are.”
