Carlton Draught sponsors Rosso East Coast pub tour
Carlton Draught has sponsored Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross to go on a stand-up comedy tour of 30 pubs up and down the East Coast.
Rosso, who will be wearing a fat suit, will be behind the bar serving Carlton Draught, with point of sale material promoting the tour.
The comedian has been handed full editorial control, with the beer brand having had no influence over his material, according to a Carlton Draught spokesperson.
Rosso completed a Responsible Service of Alcohol course in preparation for the tour.
In a press release, Rosso was quoted as saying: “For me, nothing beats going to the pub and having a schooner of Carlton Draught. I like the ritual of stopping at a pub, pulling up a stool and having a yarn with other locals. Now as ‘The Publican’ I get to swap radio microphones for beer taps and live-out every Aussie bloke’s dream of running a pub their way.”
‘The Publican’ tour will begin on Sunday October 23 at the Woollahra Hotel, Woollahra from 4pm, with Rosso running the pub for four hours.
The next two stops on the tour will be the Robin Hood Hotel in Waverly on October 25at 6pm, and the Honeysuckle Hotel in Newcastle on October 26at 6pm.

What is the point of the fat suit? Is it funny?
Seemed like a nice bloke, had a chat with him at Mumbrella 360. It is blatently the same as “Al Murray, Pub Landlord” though, innit? Here he is discussing Australia…
