Nine Network were the biggest winner at the 2015 Logies, scoring six gongs to top the Seven Network with five Logies and Network Ten which managed four.

However, Ten’s The Project host Carrie Bickmore scooped the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on TV on her fourth attempt, after collecting a Silver Logie earlier in the evening for Most Popular Presenter.

Actor Miranda Tapsell took home both Most Popular New Talent and Most Outstanding Newcomer for her role as Martha in Nine’s Love Child, using her acceptance speech to call for more stories about Aboriginal people on Australian television.

Foxtel scored success with prison drama Wentworth being named Outstanding Drama series and Danielle Cormack named Outstanding Actress for her role in it.

ABC reporter Deb Masters and Fairfax business writer Adele Ferguson accepted the award for Most Outstanding Public Affairs for their Gold Walkley-winning Four Corners episode Banking Bad, a joint investigation into Commonwealth Bank’s poor financial planning advice.

SBS picked up the award for Most Outstanding Coverage of a Sporting Event for its coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Seven Network took home the Logie for Most Outstanding News Coverage for their rolling coverage of the Sydney Lindt Cafe siege last December.

The final tally: Nine Network (six Logies); Channel Seven (five Logies); Network Ten (four Logies); ABC and Foxtel (three Logies each) and SBS (two Logies).

The Logies are organised by Bauer Media’s TV Week magazine and were screened on Channel Nine last night.
