Carsales adds My Feed Story feature to its video suite

Carsales has added My Feed Story to its video suite, encouraging sellers to reach buyers in ‘bite-size’ videos as popularised on social media platforms.

The announcement:

Carsales continues to innovate with the launch of MyFeed – bringing stories to life in the automotive marketplace

With stories well on their way to being the dominant video ad format globally in 2020, Carsales has today announced MyFeed Story as the newest addition to its video suite of Carsales solutions – and leading manufacturer, Hyundai is already in the mix.

My Feed Story empowers automotive brands to reach buyers in a ‘snapshot’ and ‘bite-size’ style popularised by social media platforms, packing big impact on the gateway to Australia’s largest automotive marketplace.

An algorithm developed by Carsales’ Artificial Intelligence team and Data Scientists will see iOS Carsales mobile App users receive personalised MyFeed Story content based on their search behaviour and preferences, while Carsales visitors will be exposed to the most popular and trending content on site.

“Carsales is a leader of innovation and MyFeed Story is another step in our commitment to add more intuitive video, and value to the buyers experience,” said Carsales Group General Manager, Product – OEM & Media, Lauren Smith.

“In its very early stages, we’re thrilled to have Hyundai on board and excited to be providing automotive brands with an interactive format to reach in-market buyers and their target audiences. These bite-sized content updates have become second nature to younger demographics and time-poor consumers.

“My Feed Story is currently available on iOS App, with plans to add Android and mobile web in the future. We’re excited to see how brands will leverage this new format to drive this style of consumer engagement in a contextual environment,” continued Smith.

For a limited time only, Carsales is offering manufacturers the opportunity to purchase a Homepage Buyout, and receive a free trial of My Feed Story.
