CEOs from Clemenger Melbourne, The Monkeys, Saatchi & Saatchi and Isobar sign up to mentor agency leaders of the future
Clemenger Melbourne’s incoming CEO Nick Garrett, The Monkeys’ CEO Mark Green, Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Michael Rebelo, and Isobar Group’s recently appointed chief Konrad Spilva are the latest agency bosses to sign up to the Future Leaders program.
Presented by Mumbrella and UK-based firm The Knowledge Engineers, the three-day Future Leaders program has been designed for senior agency managers and directors. Activities will include answering a brief to turn around a failing agency, creating a strategic revenue plan, pitching to a marketing director and presenting a strategic plan for a client to a panel of judges.
Garrett is widely considered one of the most respected creative leaders in the world. He will take up his new role at Clemenger Melbourne after heading up the successful sister agency Colenso BBDO which has doubled in size under his tenure and become one of the most creative and effective agencies globally. In 2014, Colenso was ranked by WARC as the most effective agency in the world.
Also joining the mentorship line up is Green, co-founder and CEO of The Monkeys – a multi-award winning creative agency which this year took out Mumbrella’s Creative Agency of the Year and Ad of the Year.
Rebelo is the chairman and CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia and sits on the network’s global leadership team. He was also the first Australian to run Saatchi’s iconic London office.
Meanwhile, Spilva heads up Isobar Group Australia and New Zealand, recently elevated from his role as MD.
The Future Leaders mentors will be led by chair Lindsey Evans, founder of creative shop Special Group Australia and previously president of TBWA\UK Group. Other mentors include veteran media agency boss James Greet; Ogilvy Public Relations Australia CEO and regional talent director of Ogilvy PR Asia Pacific, Kieran Moore; Havas Worldwide COO, Havas Worldwide; R/GA VP managing director, Jon Holloway; OMD Australia MD, Aimee Buchanan; as well as one of the most-awarded agency business leads in Australia, M&C Saatchi’s managing partner Mim Haysom.
