Channel Ten reveals Undercover Boss companies
Channel Ten has unveiled the companies participating in its new reality show – an Australian spin off of US Undercover Boss.
The announcement:
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, Boost Juice, Veolia Environmental Services Australia and Toga Hospitality Group are four of the Australian based companies who have signed up for the highly anticipated first home-grown series of the hugely successful franchise Undercover Boss.
The CEO’s from these companies are leaving the comfort of their corner offices for a unique undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their company.
First up for the Undercover Boss treatment is CEO of Domino’s Pizza, Don Meij. Starting as a delivery driver for Domino’s, Don has been in the business for over 20 years and is now the boss of this multi-national corporation.
Leaving behind his family and home in the leafy QLD suburbs for budget accommodation in the city, swapping his sporty Lamborghini for a Domino’s delivery van, and trading in his designer suit for a standard store uniform, Don is set for his undercover mission.
Working in several stores across Queensland and ACT, and buckling down under the orders of store managers, Don gets the opportunity to meet some incredible people, hear some home truths about the business, and ultimately decide on some important changes for the future of the Domino’s chain.
Later in the series, viewers will see the dynamic founder and director of Boost Juice, Janine Allis head back to the floor, plus another female CEO, Toga boss Rachael Argaman, collects her cleaning trolley and goes undercover across Vibe, Medina, Adina and Travelodge hotels across the country.
The American series of Undercover Boss launched to 38.6 million viewers in the US, making it the highest rating premiere* of a reality show on record. In Australia, the screening of this first US series launched with 1.78 million viewers**, winning its timeslot in all key demographics.
David Mott, chief programming officer said: “We are thrilled to own such a great program. It is, without a doubt, an hour of feel-good television for workers from all walks of life.
“The concept of Undercover Boss is simple and brilliant, and it’s gratifying to see these CEOs learn how tough everyday work and life can be,” Mr Mott said.
Undercover Boss Australia starts on Monday 18 October at 8.30pm on TEN
