Cheil Australia appoints new digital director and head of client services

Creative agency Cheil Australia has announced the appointment of Anam Malik to the role of digital director and Matthew Daunt to the role of head of client services.

Cheil Australia are excited to welcome Digital Director Anam Malik and Head of Client Services Matthew Daunt to the creative agency’s growing team. For many years Cheil has assisted Samsung Australia in developing innovative and impactful digital and retail experience strategies with effective results. The Sydney-based organisation, which is a part of Cheil Worldwide, one of the biggest and top agency networks in the world, is ready to build on its client portfolio by continuing to offer collaborative and creative services in digital innovation, and already has a number of new initiatives planned for 2022.

Anam Malik, Digital Director, Cheil Australia

Anam Malik has joined Cheil Australia with broad and confident industry knowledge, having transitioned from publisher to agency client side. Prior to Cheil, Anam led digital growth projects across various industries and for a number of international brands such as KFC, Foxtel, Dentsu and Pizza Hut. Her career highlights include running a global CRO program for American Fast Food corporation Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell) and working on identity resolution in data space with one of Australia’s largest media and pay television companies.

As Digital Director at Cheil Australia, Anam will be responsible for the development and growth of the agency’s digital offering including digital activation, optimisation and CVM.

Anam Malik adds: “All the skills learnt from my past endeavours enable me to strategise, execute and optimise digital functions for clients. I look forward to implementing and developing my experience for an agency that is so passionate about digital innovation and growth. Cheil Australia also embeds a customer-first approach to their work, and shares my passion for customer journey analytics.”

Matthew enters Cheil Australia with wide and varied experience in working with independent and network agencies across all areas of marketing and industries. Matthew’s international career spans from Saatchi & Saatchi in London, to Paramount Pictures Los Angeles, and M&C Saatchi and BWM Dentsu in Sydney, and even co-running his own creative agency for seven years.

As Head of Client Services Matthew will be responsible for managing the Account Management team, and working alongside clients’ marcoms, digital and retail departments on both campaign strategy and delivery.
