Chelsey Vaux joins SBS

SBS has appointed Chelsey Vaux to manage on-air communications.   

The announcement:

SBS has appointed Chelsey Vaux to the newly created position of Manager, On Air Communications.

Vaux commenced in the position this week, as SBS looks to continually improve the way it communicates with audiences.

In her role, Vaux will be responsible for bolstering SBS’s approach to media planning across the network, ensuring that the placement of its on air communications is reaching the correct audience.

One of Vaux’s first priorities will be to improve SBS’s evaluation of on air communications and assess whether messages are being communicated effectively.

In her role, Vaux will partner with Head of Creative, Kelly Brown, one of the most experienced creative leaders in television, to achieve the very best results for the network.

On her new appointment, Ms Vaux said: “I am looking forward to having the opportunity to move SBS forward and define a distinctive and exciting communications style for the network.”

SBS Director of Marketing, Jacquie Riddell said: “We are thrilled to have Chelsey on board. She comes to SBS with great strength in strategic media planning and stakeholder management and I believe she will be of great value to our marketing team.

“Chelsey’s strategic mindset will provide SBS with further opportunities to connect with our audiences as we continue to bring their diverse stories to life.”

Vaux comes to SBS having worked for Publicis Mojo Advertising for 10 years, during which time she held a number of senior account management positions and led teams that saw continuous growth and development. She was responsible for managing various high profile accounts including Virgin Unite, Cadbury, Coca Cola Powerade, Allied Domecq, NRMA ClearView, Club Med and a secondment to Qantas Airways.

Vaux joined Publicis Mojo from Bartle Bogle Hegarty Advertising in London where she worked across clients such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Heineken, NatWest Bank and Barnardo’s Children’s Charity.
