The Australian Radio Network (ARN) has secured Chemist Warehouse and Nature’s Own as new sponsors for its 3pm PickUp show hosted by Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall on Kiis 1065.

The announcement:

Australian Radio Network (ARN) today announced Chemist Warehouse and Nature’s Own as the new sponsors for ARN’s 3pm PickUp, hosted by Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall. The exciting partnership will engage 3pm PickUp’s core female listeners, including many mums, who also form the key demographic for Nature’s Own.

Via the KIIS 1065 and Mix FM network, Chrissie and Jane deliver their daily 3pm PickUp show to 1,036,000* listeners in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra each and every week.

Chemist Warehouse is Australia’s largest pharmacy retailer and is in the top ten retail media spenders Australia wide. Nature’s Own are one of their strongest brands, with an appeal and recognition to Australian women and families.

Of the partnership, ARN National Sales Director Matt Granger says, “We are delighted to continue working with Chemist Warehouse through this new 3pm PickUp sponsorship. In a perfect alignment, 3pm PickUp is focused on delivering relatable content to its core family audience on the drive home from school, just as Chemist Warehouse and Nature’s Own are committed to supplying quality family health products to Australians every day,” continues Granger, “We look forward to taking our existing strong relationship with Chemist Warehouse to a new level in 2014.”

Mario Tascone COO of Chemist Warehouse adds, “This is yet another example of Chemist Warehouse teaming up with a valued supplier and investing in the media together. It invariably delivers a sales promotion that comes to life where it counts; on the shop floor. It produces better measureable results and not just noise and I firmly believe that more and more brands will come to the realisation that this is the future of marketing”.

Peter Quattro CEO Quattro Group, Chemist Warehouses agency, says “The program is a perfect fit for Chemist Warehouse and Nature’s Own given it reaches an Australian audience that is core and receptive to the offering, at a time where store visitation is highly likely”.

ARN successfully created a custom built digital station for Chemist Warehouse in 2012, Chemist Warehouse ReMix, broadcast throughout Chemist Warehouse stores nationally and playing a mix of music over the past 30 years. Reaching over 250,000 listeners in-store each day makes Chemist Warehouse ReMix Australia’s most listened to Digital Radio Station.

In Australia, ARN’s brand strategy of KIIS, MixFM and Classic Hits reaches Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. Entertaining and influencing over 4 million listeners, ARN is one of the leading broadcasters in the commercially important 25-54 demographics in Australia.

ARN also recently launched the world’s fastest growing digital service, iHeartRadio, to the Australian market. iHeartRadio is the only digital music service that combines custom music and live radio, covering 1000 live radio stations across all ARN, New Zealand’s TRN and Clear Channel’s US stations. Early take up of the service in Australia has exceeded expectations.
