City Homicide’s exit watched by 750,000

Seven’s cop drama City Homicide bowed out with an audience of 750,000 last night.  

The final hour-long episode of the show aired at 9.30pm and finished 13th for the night, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

The show – set in Melbourne – ran for four series before finishing with a short series of specials. It was most successful in its first season in 2007 when it averaged just over 1.6m viewers.

Last night City Homicide’s final episode easily beat Ten’s Just For Laughs: Montreal Comedy Festival which ran from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and averaged 576,000. City Homicide was also up against the second half of The Farmer Wants A Wife (1.034m) on Nine and the first half of RPA (631,000).
