Clemenger BBDO Melbourne promotes Georgia Jones to head of business management
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has promoted group business director, Georgia Jones, to the newly created role of head of business management.
CEO Jim Gall said Jones’ promotion comes as the agency has made a ‘significant transition’ in its culture and business management.
“Over the past 12 months we’ve made a significant transition across the business to ensure that effectiveness is at the heart of our culture. The business issues of our clients have never been more important in determining how we use our creativity to problem solve and address those needs,” he said.
“As we continue to reimagine our business management function and all that’s required of that department, there’s no better person than Georgia to lead that team to ensure we’re consistently providing the best possible solutions for our clients. We’re thrilled to have her take the next step in her career with us at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.”
Gall took up the top job in March last year as former CEO Gayle While, who only held the role for seven months, returned to the UK. The change triggered a shake-up in the leadership team at the agency, including the appointments of ECDs Jim Curtis and Ryan Fitzgerald to fill the void left by CCO Stephen de Wolf, and the hire of head of planning Jacqueline Witts and chief operating officer Dave Keating.
Jones has been with the agency since 2018, and in that time has worked with Clemenger’s clients Belong, BMW and NAB. Previously she held client-side roles in London, with a focus on business transformation, data-driven marketing and customer experience.
Jones said of the new role: “I’m really looking forward to furthering our move from traditional account management to business management, championing more diverse capabilities within our team and truly partnering with our clients to deliver creative solutions that solve their business problems. The business management team at Clemenger is an incredibly talented bunch of individuals that I’m honoured to lead.”
