The Project Factory executive director Guy Gadney said: “SXSW is a showcase the best interactive storytellers around the world, and for Ringbalin to be recognised so highly in this field is quite fantastic.

“Ringbalin brings together many peoples’ passions for the Australian indigenous stories that are at the core of Australia’s identity, and those passions flow through in the way the stories are told, and in the way they have been represented across multiple screens.”

It was beaten by a campaign which turned pedestrians’ heartbeats into music. The campaign is currently installed in five locations in Boston.
