Cliff hanger election result: the newspaper front pages
Saturday evening saw some marathon election coverage from all the media with the TV networks and newspapers working late into night.
The cliffhanger election result saw some interesting front pages from the newspapers many of whom had to go to print with their early editions well before any result was clear.
Dr Mumbo wants to particularly single out News Corp’s Sunday Mail in Brisbane for this early edition front page effort, which summarises not only the close result, but also Bill Shorten’s odd method for eating a sausage sandwich:

It’s News Corp counterparts in Brisbane and Melbourne have taken different approaches with the Sunday Mail going with “Hung” while the Herald Sun in Melbourne has gone with Turnbull’s declaration “We will win”:
