Coke and Cornetto latest to launch digital marketing drives
Coca-Cola and Streets Cornetto are the latest major brands to launch digital campaigns as part of new, wider marketing drives.
Coke has this week released a new online game giving consumers the chance to win iTunes vouchers. The aim of the SummerBlast game is for people to launch out of the giant floating Coke bottle replicated in the TV ad, as part of the wider Open Happiness campaign.
The aim is for the player’s character to get as much time in the air as possible before they land in one of the targets in the water. For extra points consumers are also urged to collect Coke bottle caps.
The overall campaign has been created by Ogilvy & Mather Sydney, with the game and website created by Boffswana.
Meanwhile, Unilver’s ice-cream brand Cornetto has been pushing the latest creative for its No Boring Bits campaign, with online banner ads driving consumers to its interactive website which also features a number of games and a teaser around new marketing activity it has called “Don’t Win The Twin”. The TV ad was produced by Naked Communications.
Re SummerBlast game: Haven’t seen a Web site take that long to load since 2001.

To the Outdoor Avenger,
I have decided that the current Sony Ericcson Street Furniture panel “Freeze the fun, capture it in picture…) is the most poorly branded example this format in living memory. If anyone could correctly brand this execution from a moving vehicle, I would happily eat my hat.
It features young people having fun on space hoppers (is that what they’re called?)
Your thoughts please?

Loaded fine for me and looked pretty good. Maybe you are using dial up from 2001?

2 minutes plus to load….and then it is hardly worth the wait. Love the TVC, pity this extension doesn’t add any value.
