Coming Sooner: trailer review
Ever thought a film trailer poorly depicted it’s film? Wish they hadn’t just explained the film sequence-by-sequence so blatantly? Well so did three other guys.
Film reviewer Marc Fennell and his Hungry Beast co-horts Nick Hayden and Nick (McD) McDougall deliver their trailer review show Coming Sooner on YouTube.
In the first episode they break down the trailer to the Twilight saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 1, examining the techniques used; to suck in the audience of hysterical teen girls (read the werewolf’s muscles), the music – an outfit called Two Steps From Hell, who’ve also contributed to the Star Trek trailer; emotive text on screen; quick edits of fight and sex scenes; plus some exotic locations… Did that just explain thise episode sequence by sequence. Oops.
