Commonwealth Bank’s “Time Vault” Sends Consumers Hunting For Answers In-Branch

Sydney: The second day of Commonwealth Bank’s Time Vault ‘treasure hunt’ style Facebook promotion will take an offline twist today as hundreds of people head into a Commonwealth Bank branch to locate the answer to a question published on Facebook. Tasked with finding the name of Commonwealth Bank’s first account holder, consumers have until 11am AEDT tomorrow to correctly submit the answer and be in with a chance of winning $2,000.

Developed as part of the Bank’s extensive Centenary campaign, The Time Vault is housed within a tab on the Bank’s Facebook page. Launched on November 21, 2011, every day for ten business days a question relating to a certain decade of Commonwealth Bank’s 100-year history will be asked. Players will then be sent on a ‘treasure hunt’ style quest to collect information, clues or codes so they may answer each question correctly and unlock the secrets of Commonwealth Bank’s history.
