Cougar Town continues to fall, while Thursday sees weak ratings all round
Nine’s The Mentalist was the 8:30pm time slot leader among the free-to-air TV channels, while viewers continued to turn away from Seven’s Cougar Town.
Overall in FTA TV viewing, Nine led the ratings race, with its digital channel Go rating ahead of SBS1, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.
But only three programs managed to nudge past the one million mark, led by Seven’s evening news, Today Tonight and The Mentalist.
Cougar Town attracted 857,000 viewers, which was down on the 916,000 it recorded last week.
However, it was the second most-watched show among 16-39s and 18-49s, behind How I Met Your Mother, which airs directly after the Courtney Cox-fronted show in the 9pm slot.
