Craig Davis to take the helm at Publicis Mojo

JWT’s former global chief creative officer Craig Davis is to take the lead at Publicis Mojo, in a move aimed at returning the agency to its glory days on the world stage.  

Davis, an Aussie, will be co-chairman and chief creative officer for Australia and New Zealand. He announced several months ago that he was stepping down from his London-based JWT role to return to Australia.

Publicis Mojo chairman Graeme Wills said: “Craig’s appointment sends a clear signal to the industry both here and internationally. Our ability to attract world-class talent like Craig is a credit to Mojo’s standing and our ambition to be a truly international player/”

Davis said: “I believe in zero geography – that you can live in Australia and work in the world. Mojo is an amazing brand and has a determination to compete and win against the world’s best, and that’s exactly what I want to do.”

The agency also said that Davis will soon announce a new ECD for Mojo Melbourne .

After establishing his own agency in Australia, Davis to Singapore as ECD of Saatchi & Saatchi before promotion to a regional role which took him to Hong Kong. After that  he joined WPP’s JWT.

Meanwhile, Public Mojo’s New Zealand office today picked up a gold in the Cyber Lions at Cannes.
