Craig Davis to take the helm at Publicis Mojo
JWT’s former global chief creative officer Craig Davis is to take the lead at Publicis Mojo, in a move aimed at returning the agency to its glory days on the world stage.
Davis, an Aussie, will be co-chairman and chief creative officer for Australia and New Zealand. He announced several months ago that he was stepping down from his London-based JWT role to return to Australia.
Publicis Mojo chairman Graeme Wills said: “Craig’s appointment sends a clear signal to the industry both here and internationally. Our ability to attract world-class talent like Craig is a credit to Mojo’s standing and our ambition to be a truly international player/”
Davis said: “I believe in zero geography – that you can live in Australia and work in the world. Mojo is an amazing brand and has a determination to compete and win against the world’s best, and that’s exactly what I want to do.”
The agency also said that Davis will soon announce a new ECD for Mojo Melbourne .
After establishing his own agency in Australia, Davis to Singapore as ECD of Saatchi & Saatchi before promotion to a regional role which took him to Hong Kong. After that he joined WPP’s JWT.
Meanwhile, Public Mojo’s New Zealand office today picked up a gold in the Cyber Lions at Cannes.

The agency just missed out on the Grand Prix at Cannes for work done on Darren’s watch.
Bet he’s not very happy to hear the above assessment of his hard work.
Craig has some big shoes to fill.
