Production website CrewWho wants you

First AD, John Titley (right) has launched website CrewWho, for crew to connect with their productions via a secure web portal. The project is the effort of three years work for Titley.

CrewWho’s production management tool is already being used by Southern Star’s Dripping in Chocolate telemovie and Screentime’s Tricky Business drama series.

Scott Hartley, line producer of Tricky Business said, “This is a long overdue system and we are delighted to be one of the first to use CrewWho.”

CrewWho’s Sales and Marketing Executive Ali Malone told Encore, “What has been interesting is every meeting we have has been received with interest but it was about getting the people to be the first to make the change. Since getting Screentime and Southern Star  both create a production on it, it’s taken on a whole new lease on life as each production has 50-60 crew.” Malone was a location manager in TV and commercials for ten years.

The site was officially launched at Fox Studios by special guest speaker cinematographer Peter James (ASC – Driving Miss Daisy & Mao’s Last Dancer).

The social network includes document sharing, distribution, booking and production calendars, secure online workspaces, instant crew messaging, crew booking as well as highlighting featured crew sections and crew profiles for the industry to build their profile.
