Culture consultancy Ministry of Culture launches in Sydney
New York-based culture consultancy Ministry of Culture is set to open its doors in Sydney later this month, Mumbrella can reveal.
Sydney is Ministry of Culture’s first international office and is launching in Australia to service a range of independent clients.
Ministry of Culture Australia has revealed a local advisory board which includes executive creative director, George Betsis and KPMG’s head of brand strategy, Sudeep Gohil.
Meanwhile, founder of Ministry of Culture David Art Wales has relocated back to Australia to lead the local operation.
“Instead of work being a place that merely extracts a third of an employee’s time, we can make it somewhere that contributes to their lives in a way that makes them more productive. Instead of ads that feel intrusive, we create marketing that contributes something. These are modern solutions with win-win outcomes.
“We field a ton of inquiries from Aussie brands and businesses intent on implementing pro-people policies. You see the same trend in the rise of company positions with the words ‘people’ and ‘culture’ in them,” Wales said in a statement to Mumbrella.
Ministry of Culture works with clients to provide “good thinking” in the form of insights, creative and workplace culture.
The New-York based agency has worked with clients including Toyota, Google, Lexus, Jim Beam, American Express, ABC, Samsung, Nike, Reebok, MTV and Starbucks.
