D&AD says it in every language: ‘Our standards are higher’

International advertising awards organiser D&AD has launched a multi-language appeal to the world’s advertising creatives.

And in what appears to be something of a challenge to the likes of the Cannes Lions and the US based One Show, Simon ‘Sanky’ Sankarayya claims: “Our standards are higher than the rest”, before saying that the awards are open to “even a social media consultant”.

He also presented a multi-lingual address on YouTube aiming to speak to ad agencies in as many languages as possible.

Australia’s representatives on the D&AD awards include Mojo’s Craig Davis as foreman on the integrated and earned media jury and Droga 5’s David Nobay for outdoor. M&C Saatchi’s Dave King is the NZ representative as jury foreman for direct.
