Dan Anstey becomes permanent fixture in Triple M Breakfast lineup

After appearing alongside Greg ‘Marto’ Martin and Margaux Parker on Triple M Brisbane since May last year, Dan Anstey has been welcomed permanently into the breakfast lineup.

In 2023, Brisbane listeners will wake up to Marto, Margaux and Dan every weekday morning from 5:30am.

The formal addition of Anstey is a last minute revision to the 2023 lineup released by Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) last year. SCA chief content officer Dave Cameron has remained firm on his strategy of keeping the lineups consistent, with the exception of Mick Molly’s return this year.

Before returning to Brisbane with his family last year, Anstey previously co-hosted Sea FM 90.9’s Breakfast on the Gold Coast with Bianca Dye and Ben Hannant for six years. He has also held regular on-air roles with The Fox in Melbourne and is a regular on national television.

Triple M Brisbane content director, Jamie Angel said bringing Anstey into the breakfast lineup was a “no brainer”.

“Back in April and May, we searched the whole country to find the perfect Triple M Brisbane Breakfast anchor and it turned out he was sitting just down the road on the Goldie the whole time,” said Angel. “Dan’s dynamic, funny and a wonderful human being. He’s already worked on some of the Australia’s most successful radio shows, and from the moment he walked into the Brisbane studio with Marto and Margaux, it was the perfect fit.”

Anstey said after six years on Gold Coast breakfast radio, he was “thrilled” to return home to Brisbane.

“I spent some of the best years of my life in Brisbane. Mainly in the beer garden of the RE watching the mighty Lions, Broncos and Maroons, when I probably should have been studying! I honestly couldn’t have been happier to be return home after a decade, with my wife and two kids in tow. Standing atop Kangaroo Point to show them the sprawling beauty of the great brown snake was truly a life goal achieved,” said Anstey.
