David Gerrie takes on chief operating officer role to unite Ikon’s disparate offices
Media agency group Ikon has moved to put in place a de facto national head with David Gerrie stepping up to the role of chief operating officer.
Gerrie, currently the group’s chief financial officer, will report into STW Communications CEO Michael Connaghan, with responsibility for all Ikon marketing, operations and services, as well as aligning their investments.
The agencies in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland have all been run separately by their individual managing partners since the departure of James Greet earlier this year.
Cool new name. A blend of STW and Enero honchos. I’ll go far.
one of the best guys out there. Many congrats DG.
Congratulations David – great recognition of all your hard work!
I’ve always felt financial controllers with their operational excellence and high performance ambitions shared a like minded passion with creative talent. Good luck.
BOOOM! Congrats DG.
Go DG!
Wonder how is that STW consolidation is going? Quoting the big man at the top back in June – “I think with what we’re doing we’ll get from 80 to 50 and we’ll be there by the end of this year.”
30 days left, and little has been seen or said on the consolidation front…. aside from the Ikon/Moon/Shift. 47 to go?
Congratulations DG!
Well done and well deserved.
One of the good guys! Congrats on the new role!
Great bloke, great role. Congrats DG.
