Seven’s David Koch wins for Nine on The Footy Show

The Footy ShowThe Footy Show on Channel Nine topped the prime time entertainment lineup last night with 846,000 viewers across the five city metro.

Its largest audience was in Melbourne where Sunrise co-host David Koch crossed over from Seven network to appear in his capacity as chairman of the Port Adelaide Football Club. The Footy Show was the top entertainment show of the night in Melbourne.

Across the five cities The Footy Show was seventh for the night number one in 25-54’s.

Nine’s Big Brother followed in the preliminary overnight metro ratings with a total 806,000 viewers watching from 7pm to 8.30pm, and was third in 25-54’s.

Seven’s Dynamo: Magician Impossible, on from 8pm to 9pm, had 778,000 viewers making it second in its timeslot after Big Brother and The Footy Show.

Elsewhere on the TV schedule, Today Tonight, on Seven at 6.30pm, had 990,000 viewers over 940,000 for A Current Affair on Channel Nine at the same time. Seven News was the top program of the night with 1.191m viewers over Nine News with 1.184m.

ABC1 dramas Upper Middle Bogan had 687,000 viewers at 8.30pm, making it third in its timeslot. Drama It’s a Date 584,000 at 9pm, over Seven’s Please Marry My Boy which had 458,000 viewers on at the same time.

Network Ten’s second episode of Jamie Oliver’s budget cooking show Save with Jamie held its audience averaging 544,000 viewers, slightly more than last week’s 540,000.

The premiere of Ten’s new current affairs program Revealed, hosted by Hugh Riminton, averaged 252,000 total viewers from 9.30pm to 10.30pm.

In the morning battle Seven’s Sunrise had 353,000 viewers over Today’s 303,000, and won in all cities but Sydney, where Today had a larger share of the audience.

Nine won the night with a 22.2per cent of the audience while Seven followed with 19.3 per cent. ABC1 had a 12.8 per cent audience share over Ten’s 11.6 per cent.
