David Roddick and Jo Clasby out in Foxtel Media restructure

Foxtel Media chief sales officer David Roddick and Sydney sales director Jo Clasby have left the business in a restructure which ‘reimagines agency and client collaboration’.

CEO Mark Frain said the changes are a part of Foxtel Media’s continued focus on a digital future.

“We are moving rapidly towards a new future for media. The future for advertising is intelligent video and digitally driven agency-client-media relationships. We are continuing to evolve our operating model as we align with what our clients and their brands need from media partners in today’s environment.”

The changes also position the business better to service Foxtel’s full suite, including Kayo and Foxtel Now, said Frain.

Roddick is leaving Foxtel Media after a year and a half as CSO

Roddick has been with the business since 2019, joining after leaving Adshel at the end of 2018 during its merger with Ooh. Clasby joined the business in 2017 from Bauer Media.

In the restructure, Nev Hasan has been promoted to executive director of agency sales, responsible for leading the Foxtel Media national sales team.

Current brand partnerships director, Daniella Serhan, has been given the expanded role of entertainment sales and partnership director, driving innovative advertising solutions across the business and leading the Sydney sales team. She will work alongside sports lead Martin Medcraf.

Annie Griffiths joins the business as senior strategy consultant, reporting to customer engagement director Toby Dewar. Griffiths has recently returned from the US where she was chief marketing officer for PHD USA.

She previously held roles at MediaCom, ZenithOptimedia and Universal McCann, leading account management and strategy for clients including Volkswagen, KFC, Lion Nathan and Unilever.

Frain thanks Roddick and Clasby for their time with the business.

“These leadership changes position Foxtel Media for continued success in a fast-changing environment. They strengthen our alignment with the Foxtel Group as it emerges as one of Australia’s most forward-looking media business. We thank David and Jo for their contribution and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.”
