DDB’s chief creative officer Ben Welsh and chief strategy officer Carl Ratcliff join MSIX lineup

Ben Welsh, chief creative officer at DDB Australia, and Carl Ratcliff, chief strategy officer at DDB Sydney, are set to take to the stage at Mumbrella MSIX (Marketing Sciences Ideas Xchange) on 20 February, 2020.

The duo will lead a session which unpacks what Byron Sharp, Peter Field and Mark Ritson have in common. They will also make the case for why marketing science cannot save the industry from the ill-effects of bad advertising.

Welsh and Ratcliff will also address why all marketing models are wrong and how human behaviour shapes creativity.

MSIX is being held on 20 February, 2020 at The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Earlybird tickets are on sale now.

The conference – curated by consumer psychologist and chief thinker at Thinkerbell, Adam Ferrier – will cover the key areas of data science, AI, behavioural science, analytics and the rise of the social experiment as mass entertainment.

DDB’s Welsh and Ratcliff join other speakers already on the bill including behavioural scientist, Dr Juliette Tobias-Webb; software engineer, Alyse Sue; Hardhat co-founder, Dan Monheit; Mutiny founder, Henry Innis; Professor of school of advertising, marketing and PR at Queensland University of Technology, Gayle Kerr, and more.
