Deloitte Digital names Leon Doyle as new Australia boss

Deloitte Digital has appointed Leon Doyle to head its Australian operations, following the departure of Esan Tabrizi earlier this week.

Doyle, who was one of the practice’s founding employees in 2004, is being brought back across from the main Deloitte Australia business, where he most recently was chief experience officer.

“What an honour to be appointed national lead partner for Deloitte Digital, the practice at which I have spent the last 19 years,” Doyle said.

“At Deloitte Digital, we do two things – we make customers more valuable to businesses and brands, and we make businesses and brands more valuable to customers. And I’m so excited to work with our people and teams as we do this in a distinctly Deloitte Digital way, with a liberal sprinkling of our ‘secret sauce’ – the combination of logic and magic.

“Because it’s the blending of our analytical, business and tech smarts with creativity that enables us to deliver better outcomes for our clients and their customers. Deloitte Digital is nothing without its people – deep subject matter experts who believe in the potential and impact of new ideas, new strategies, new technologies and new partnerships to deliver new growth for our clients and their customers. Getting to work with this great group is why I bounce out of bed every day.”

Doyle takes over from Esan Tabrizi, who is finishing up this month to relocate to Dubai to be closer to family.

Doyle started his career at Deloitte via specialist online design, development and consulting firm Eclipse as a UX consultant, which later became part of the big four consultancy.

He later became a director at Deloitte Digital in 2011, and partner in 2013 leading the company’s experience design practice. Doyle then moved to Deloitte Australia as customer strategy and experience design practice leader in 2019, before moving up to chief experience officer in 2021.
