Deloitte’s top digital trends for a post-pandemic Australia

Deloitte’s annual survey of digital consumer trends (previously the Mobile Consumer Survey) shows the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected how consumers interact with digital technologies.

Peter Corbett, consulting partner and national telecommunications lead of Deloitte said COVID-19 has very clearly served as a catalyst in our adoption of digital technologies.

“In 2020, and driven largely by lockdown-induced working from home, we purchased more devices, we used smartphones more than ever, we embraced telehealth and virtual appointments, we turned more to remote and touchless payments, and we increased time spent on social media and streaming services,” Corbett said.
