Dentsu Aegis creates head of diversity and inclusion role, appoints Catherine Krantz

Dentsu Aegis has appointed Catherine Krantz to the newly created role of head of diversity and inclusion.

Krantz, a 16-year veteran of the agency, will take on the network-wide role which will focus on creating positive change across the ANZ business.

The shift also includes the creation of Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council .

Denstu Aegis Network ANZ CEO Simon Ryan said the move was an important step for the agency.

“We believe that with a focus on creative thinking, diversity of perspectives, approaches and backgrounds our clients, talent and business will deliver outstanding results,” Ryan said.

“Catherine’s proven track record in spearheading and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture gave me confidence in her ability to lead the way as Dentsu Aegis Network’s first head of diversity and inclusion. I look forward to supporting Catherine as we make progress.”

Krantz first joined Carat from Mitchells in Melbourne in 2001 as a group account director and was named head of people and culture two years ago.

She was also named general manager of Carat’s Melbourne office six months later.

Krantz said adding the new role to was a huge responsibility.

“I am excited to work in partnership with the Diversity & Inclusion Council and executive leadership team as we continue to build a culture that brings out the best of our people by recognising and celebrating everyone as individuals,” Krantz said.
