Dentsu Aegis Network opens Government Solutions division run by Dentsu X’s Nick Swifte
Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has launched a new division focused on providing specialist advice and expertise in government marketing and communications.
Dentsu X’s head of investment, Nick Swifte, will run the new division and relocate to Canberra. Swifte’s head of investment role will not be directly replaced.
Government Solutions will be based in Canberra and aims to deliver the best possible outcomes for federal, state and local government clients.
Swifte, who now holds the title of head of DAN Government Solutions, said many of Dentsu’s agencies including Dentsu X, Isobar, Cox Inall Change and Columbus have already delivered PR, social and media capabilities to various government clients.
“Having worked with government clients for many years, we appreciate the complex and unique nature of delivering government work. DAN’s dedication to providing specialist expertise on government communications is a real point of difference in Australia.”
Simon Ryan, CEO ANZ, Dentsu Aegis Network, said in a statement: “As a network we have many years’ experience working with government clients, including Australian, Victorian and West Australian governments.
“The government sector has a unique set of requirements, and our understanding of the needs of government is second to none in Australia. Having a dedicated division, led and staffed by some of the industry’s most experienced and renowned government specialists, will allow government clients to tap into a unique pool of capability, resource and expertise.”
“Our understanding of the needs of government is second to none in Australia”.
Yet in the past 12 months, DAN still managed to lose both the Victorian and Federal Government accounts. What a strange statement, Simon.
