Dentsu continues CEO appointments with Dentsu Solutions ANZ CEO

Dentsu ANZ has appointed Chris Bower in the newly-created role of CEO ANZ of Dentsu Solutions.

In the role, Bower will be on the executive leadership team with Dentsu ANZ CEO Angela Tangas. Bower will lead both the Solutions and Intelligence teams.

Chris Bower

Bower joins Dentsu from Boston Consulting Group, where he was partner and associate director and a member of their operations, retail and industrial goods practice areas, having joined the company in 2014 according to his LinkedIn.

Tangas said: “Chris is a key hire for us. His consulting background together with his entrepreneurial spirit enables us to enhance the ways we partner with our clients to grow and evolve together. Chris will be invaluable in working together with clients, on the inside of their organisation as much as out, having helped brands across multiple industries, underpinned by our CXM, Creative and Media offerings.”

Tangas added: “Every client I speak with is looking for the insight that helps apply a constructively different lens to aid the growth of their business plans. Constantly innovating and evolving the depth and breadth of our strategic expertise is therefore critical. Whether that be brand transformation, CX transformation or employee transformation and the expectations of their customers, employees and increasingly, broader society. Chris’ background will further enhance our ability to be ANZ’s most integrated services company and relevant client partner.”

Bower commented: “I think we are at a pivotal moment in the industry, where tremendous value can be unlocked by providing more integrated end-to-end solutions for clients and their customers. I am thrilled to be joining and look forward to collaborating with my Dentsu peers to build a market-leading offering.”

The commencement of Bower’s time at Dentsu will be at the end of February 2022.

It is the latest addition to Dentsu with John Riccio joining from consultancy EY at the end of this month as Merkle’s CEO.  Former Cummins & Partners CEO Kirsty Muddle was revealed to be the new Dentsu Creative CEO in November last year. Most recently, CHE Proximity’s David Halter was announced as chief strategy and growth officer last month.
