Dentsu X opens Sydney office following global Jaguar Land Rover account win
Dentsu Aegis Network’s Dentsu X – formerly Dentsu Mitchell – has expanded its local footprint after winning the Jaguar Land Rover global media account.
Jaguar Land Rover announced a review of its media agency arrangements last year just days after it pulled its digital advertising in the UK follwoing an investigation which revealed its ads could be indirectly funding Islamic extremists amongst other groups.
Mumbrella understands Dentsu X has now won the account from incumbent Mindshare – part of WPP’s media agency holding group, GroupM.
Dentsu X would not comment on the Jaguar Land Rover account, however national managing director of Dentsu X, Angela Tangas, said it is a transformational time for the agency and the team was excited to be entering the Sydney market.
“We have a fantastic team in place ready to hit the ground running and are looking forward to working with our current and future partners to provide solutions that realise lifetime customer value, spanning media and the broader customer ecosystem to deliver ‘experience beyond exposure’.”
Dentsu X recently lost the federal government master media account, when it was returned to UM.
