Depop launches its first campaign in Australia

Online fashion marketplace, Depop, has released its first campaign in Australia.

The announcement:

Digitally disruptive fashion marketplace Depop have released their latest campaign and staying true to their ethos of empowering the next generation of young fashion entrepreneurs, the app have called upon their own community of sellers to model within the campaign.

“At Depop, our mission is to empower the next generation to transform the future of fashion. There’s so much incredible fashion and creativity happening already across Australia, so our focus here is to champion and celebrate our community of creatives to show the rest of the world what they’re all about,” explains Depop Australia’s Country Manager Aria Wigneswaran.

The series of shots features four AU sellers, putting them as the face of the global platform’s first Australian campaign.

“This campaign really showcases the diversity that runs through Depop, where everyone is the norm and everyone has a place.” Says Tanzyn of @premiumzoo. Stasia of @stasiavalencia thanks Depop for “giving me the chance to share my love for vintage fashion and to express my creativity worldwide”.

The campaign will run nationally across digital billboards at over 100 university and tertiary campuses and at key locations for their Gen Z demographic, supported digitally on their frequented socials channels: TikTok and Snapchat. “By showcasing our sellers in environments where they already exist tells our current and future Depop community that we’re here to represent them,” says Wigneswaran.
