Designworks Melbourne hires David Jenkinson as strategy director

The Melbourne office of STW Group brand agency Designworks has hired David Jenkinson as strategy director.

The appointment completes the leadership team of Designworks in Melbourne, with Jenkinson lining up alongside GM Stephanie Gasperini and head of design James Sterling.

Jenkinson has run his own consultancy, DIJ Strategy, had a stint at Badjar Ogilvy and been director of consumer insights and brand strategy at Fosters. He was also regional strategy planning director at Y&R.

He will work on clients including Bank of Melbourne, oOh!Media, GWA Group, Cricket Australia and Blamey & Saunders.

Gasperini said: “The combination of David’s design thinking skills together with his deep understanding of people and what motivates them to make choices and build strong relationships with brands is an enviable skill-set to offer clients.”

Jenkinson added: “My vision is to help clients go on the journey of realising their visions, particularly where they have the desire to lead categories and take their home grown brand to the world.
