Inman leaves Commbank after more than ten years to join Destination NSW

Tourism body Destination NSW has appointed Commonwealth Bank’s Raechelle Inman as general manager of communications.

Inman joins from Commbank where she was the general manager of public relations for the last year-and-a-half. Before that she was the general manager of marketing, communications and events for nearly ten years.

Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase said in a statement: “Raechelle brings impressive private sector marketing and communications experience to assist us in the local and international promotion of NSW.”

“Raechelle has a background in journalism, and more recently has held a number of related roles with some of Australia’s largest companies.  She was in senior management at Telstra with positions including digital content management (sports and news), marketing and sponsorship.

“Immediately prior to joining Destination NSW, Raechelle was responsible for marketing, communications, public relations and events at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.”

Inman said: “The reputation of Destination NSW for exceptional performance and its outstanding track record of success and innovation, were key drawcards for me. I look forward to making significant contributions to the continued success of Destination NSW, promoting my home state.”

She replaces Tanya Bowes.

Inman will take up her role prior to the opening of the Vivid Sydney on Friday May 27.
