Nuns turn to advertising for ‘Heavenly care’ Monastique cosmetics range
An order of nuns in Melbourne has turned to advertising for the first time.
The Carmelite Monastery in Kew has launched a campaign for Monastique, a skincare and fragrance range made by the Sisters themselves.
The campaign, created by over-fifties specialist Evergreen pro bono, carries the line ‘Heavenly Care For Your Skin’.
The ads will run as flyers and posters to be distributed among the local community.
Evergreen is attempting to persuade local papers in Melbourne to donate ad space for the campaign. Small-sized fractional ads were made so newspapers could more easily find space for the campaign.
The full Monastique range can be bought at the Carmelite Sisters’ shop, on 94 Stevenson Street in Kew, but Evergreen intends to help the Sisters sell their products online next year. Proceeds from Monastique sales go towards the monastery’s outreach work.
Nice work Gill…

There’s already a skincare brand named Skinfood. It’s got a cult following. I smell a lawsuit. http://eng.theskinfood.com/
