Diageo head of communications Elizabeth Greene departs

Global wine and spirits company Diageo’s head of communications Elizabeth Greene has departed.

Greene’s responsibilities included promoting and protecting the brand’s reputation, and developing and communicating its position on policy issues such as alcohol taxes.

Greene joined Diageo in July 2013

According to her LinkedIn, Greene departed the role in March this year after three years and nine months.

Greene joined the liquor company one year after it announced a below-the-line and PR agency adjustment.

Prior to joining Diageo in 2013, she worked at Optus for five years starting as a corporate affairs manager and finishing as internal communications manager.

Greene also worked at Fujitsu from 2005 to 2007 as a media relations and marketing specialist.

Diageo is set to replace Greene with a new head of communications.
