Differentiate or die – a critical panel confirmed for Mumbrella CommsCon

A new panel has been confirmed for Mumbrella’s CommsCon to be hosted by The Savage Company’s founder Chris Savage.

Keep Left CEO, Caroline Catteral

The panel will feature Keep Left CEO Caroline Catteral, We Are Different founder and director Stuart Terry, Hopeful Monsters managing director Carl Moggridge and Sefiani managing director Mandy Galmes.

Savage will challenge the panel of agency leaders on why the positioning of their shops gives them a competitive advantage, and why clients would care. They will provide insights on agency growth, differentiating and creating a unique positioning.

Terry will also be speaking in a separate session with Hugo Cutrone, managing partner of Avenue C, about how to mix two traditionally different opportunities – earned and paid.

As brands continue to appreciate the value of earned media, a partnership between earned and paid is emerging. Terry and Cutrone will share learnings on the best-practice creative and commercial synergies between the two.

Meanwhile, in a session titled ‘How to Profit with Purpose’, former CEO of Havas PR Simone Gupta, group managing director at Icon Agency Joanne Painter, Blooms The Chemist COO Pamela Bishop and Society founder and CEO Dena Vassallo will discuss what it takes to create legitimate purpose-positing to satisfy today’s consumers and show to how transform purpose from a gimmick to a game-changer.

Brands are scrambling to show off their purpose-driven credentials, as customers are now more socially and environmentally-conscious than ever before. The panel will discuss if this is possible to achieve, while maintaining profit and growth.

These sessions will join global keynote speaker James Wright, among others, who recently announced his return to Australia to take up the role of CEO of the Havas Creative Village while also maintaining his global role at Havas.
