Digital boss Peter Bray takes the helm at The Brand Shop

Peter Bray has become one of the first in Australia from a digital background to become manager of an ad agency.

Bray, who joined The Brand Shop as digital director in September, has also taken on general manager responsibility for the Sydney-based creative agency.

It follows CEO Gavin Larkin’s promotion to add fellow STW agency Yello to his own brief.

Prior to The Brand Shop, Bray – who is also the NSW President of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association –  was MD of Clear Blue Day which he founded in 2001.

Larkin said: “In the last 12 months we have been focussed on putting together all the pieces of the integrated puzzle to ensure that the best thinking comes to the fore, and the response from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive. By having Peter assume this dual role, it highlights the fact that what matters is innovative thinking and delivering outstanding results, regardless of the channel. ”

Bray said: “These are exciting times for The Brand Shop, and I’m enjoying making an impact.”

The Brand Shop’s recent work has included Valvoline, The Australian, Kotex and Bundaberg.
