Digital performance agency Tug appoints Comms 101 for PR strategy

Full-service digital marketing agency Tug has announced that PR agency Comms 101 has been appointed to handle its PR and communications strategy for Australia and New Zealand.

Tug was founded in 2006 and has offices in Sydney, London, Toronto and Berlin. Sydney-based Comms 101 will work with the team on the ground in Australia to help drive the agency forward and gain awareness in the local market.

In Australia Tug is run by Canadian born Nick Beck, who said he was pleased for Comms 101 to assist the agency build its presence here.

Comms 101 was started by Lisa Hollinstead in 2017, who has over 12 years experience in PR, social and media, working across agencies including Ogilvy, Herd MSL, McCann, Bastion Effect and B&Co.

The PR agency has staff in Sydney, Manchester and London, and will provide counsel across thought leadership profiling, public relations (press office), social media strategy and event execution.

Hollinstead said: “To work with Tug provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with another agency to build presence and awareness for their work here in Australia.

“Tug is in a unique position, due to an already established presence in other markets across the globe.”

Tug’s clients have included  Budget Direct, Compare the Market, DHL, GenesisCare, Toyota and WWF.
